Paws & Fells – Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to all photography sessions booked with Paws & Fells | Pet Photography. By making a booking, you agree to the following:
- Booking & Payment
• All sessions must be paid in full at the time of booking.
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
• A booking is only confirmed once payment has successfully cleared.
• Session fees cover the photographer’s time, expertise, preparation, and professional editing of your selected images.
• Prints, wall art, albums, digital high res images and other products are purchased separately during your viewing and design session.
- Cancellations & Rescheduling
• If you cancel more than 14 days before your session date, you are eligible for a 50% refund.
• If cancelled more than 14 days in advance and I am able to re-sell your session slot, you will receive a 75% refund.
• Cancellations made within 14 days of the session date are non-refundable.
• If I need to cancel due to illness, emergency, or unsafe/unworkable conditions, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule at no additional cost.
• Weather postponements may occur if conditions are unsafe or unsuitable. Overcast conditions are not considered a reason to postpone, as they are often ideal for photography.
- Client Responsibilities
• Please arrive on time. Late arrival may reduce shooting time.
• Pets must be accompanied and supervised at all times.
• Please bring essentials such as leads, treats, toys, poo bags, water (if warm), and anything your pet may need to feel comfortable.
• If your pet has any behavioural concerns, anxieties, or special requirements, please inform me in advance so I can prepare appropriately.
- Safety, Behaviour & Early Termination
• Your pet’s safety is my top priority throughout the session.
• I reserve the right to end the session early if a pet displays aggressive, dangerous, or highly stressed behaviour that may pose a risk to the pet, the owner, the photographer, or the public.
• If a session must be ended for these reasons, no refund will be issued, as time, travel, and preparation have already been provided.
• Pets will remain on the lead unless in a safe, controlled environment and only with the owner’s permission. Leads can often be removed during editing.
• Owners are fully responsible for ensuring their pet is safe, under control, and behaves appropriately throughout the session.
- Pet Health & Welfare
• Please notify me before the session if your pet is unwell, recovering from injury, or unable to participate fully.
• If a pet arrives visibly sick, distressed, or in discomfort, I may recommend rescheduling for the welfare of the animal.
• If a session cannot proceed due to undisclosed illness or welfare concerns, this will be treated as a client cancellation.
- Photography & Editing.
• Editing is completed in my signature, natural, high-quality style to ensure consistency and the best results.
• Turnaround time is typically 2 weeks, though this may vary depending on workload, season, or unforeseen circumstances.
• RAW or unedited images are not provided, as they do not reflect the final standard of my work.
- Image Usage & Copyright
• All images remain the copyright of Paws & Fells.
• Clients receive a licence for personal use only (printing, social media, sharing with friends/family).
• Images must not be altered with filters, heavy edits, or adjustments that misrepresent the work.
• I may use images for marketing, website, portfolio, or social media purposes unless you request otherwise in writing before the session.
• Commercial use by the client or third parties is not permitted without written permission.
- Prints, Additional Images & Artwork
• Product purchases (prints, frames, wall art, albums, etc.) are made separately during your viewing session.
• Due to the bespoke nature of printed products, orders are non-refundable unless defective.
• Any defects or issues must be reported within 48 hours of receiving your order.
• Product delivery times may vary depending on supplier turnaround.
- Location & Weather
• Locations are chosen to best suit your pet and the style of images you want. Final suitability is at my discretion for safety and lighting reasons.
• Light rain or overcast weather will not stop a session, these conditions often create the best results.
• Extreme weather (storms, high winds, heavy rain, dangerous heat, etc.) may require rescheduling for safety and image quality.
- Data Protection & Privacy
• Client information is stored securely and used only for communication, booking management, and delivery of services.
• All data is handled in accordance with GDPR regulations.
• Your information will never be shared with third parties except when necessary to fulfil product orders.
- Agreement
By booking a session with Paws & Fells, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
